Air Curtains Controls

Each control system is designed to offer optimal performance, energy efficiency, and user-friendly interfaces.

B-Touch Control

The B-touch control panel features an intuitive menu for easy setting adjustments like room temperature and power toggling. With SR's integrated software, the air curtain can operate without the b-touch connected, allowing it to serve solely as a service panel. The B-touch supports BMS connectivity including Modbus and BACNet. Each controller can manage up to ten units.

Energy Saving ECONTROL

The ECONTROL enhances the unit's performance while saving energy. It's easily connected by plugging a cable between the air curtain and controller. In 'Auto' mode, it adjusts heat for optimal performance and maintains temperatures between 18-25°C. 'Manual' mode offers half or full heat options. In any mode, users can adjust fan speed or use the curtain as an ambient unit.

Electronic Touchpad Controller

The electronic touchpad controllers offer localised on/off, three-speed control, and two heat settings for electric units. Each controller can manage up to ten units.

    • Available with IndAC2 
    • The IndAC2 can be automatically set up using the intelligent software which is situated inside the air curtain (CHIPS)
    • The temperature and fan speed of the IndAC2 is automatically and independently adjusted to the changing conditions around the doorway due to the CHIPS
    • Usage and fault diagnostic data can be easily extracted via the b-touch data port.
    • The data port also permits software updates

B-Control

The B-control is a continuously variable, 0 – 10V potentiometer. The fan speed can be adjusted to compensate for any change in temperature with a simple turn of the dial.

B-Touch Control

When more units are connected, the b-touch control panel can control up to a maximum of ten leading units. One leading unit and two follower units can be controlled simultaneously. In that case, only the leading unit contains the intelligent software. The leading unit can be connected to another leading unit to which two follower units can also be connected.

B-Stream Automatic Control Panel

The intelligent integrated control of the MAT air curtain ensures that the discharge temperature of the middle air stream is adjusted automatically based on the temperature and humidity in the adjoining area measured by various sensors. 1 Control Panel for Leader & Follower units.

T1 / T2 Thermostat

By measuring the room temperature (T1 & T2 thermostats) the unit automatically cycles between low/ medium speed and on/off, depending upon the actual versus desired room condition.

T4 Adjustabkle Low Water Temperature Cut-Out

In ‘Winter’ mode, when the low temperature cut-out thermostat (T4) senses hot water in the coil the unit will operate. When the boiler is switched off the T4 thermostat will also turn off the fan convector. In ‘Summer’ mode, the unit continually re-circulates ambient air.

Fan Coil Units Direct Digital Controls

Where fan coils need to be integrated into a BMS, all the offered controllers support standard BMS protocols to allow them to communicate with new and existing BMS systems. The range includes Johnson Controls TUC03 and Easy-IO.

  1. Johnson Controls TUC03
    • Available with ProAir Series, DecoQT
    • Communication options are available to enable the controller to be integrated into a larger BACnet® network as part of a building automation system.
    • With return and supply air sensors built in as standard, the controller will work to ensure that temperatures in the space are controlled and thermal comfort is maintained for the building’s users.
    • TUC03 comes in 3 options: 
      1. Wall sensor, adjuster and fan speed control
      2. Monochrome wall unit
      3. Monochrome touchscreen
  2. Easy-IO
    • Available with ProAir Series, DecoQT
    • The Easy-IO systems can enhance energy savings, giving additional benefits such as fault reporting, trend logging and remote off-site diagnoses.

Air-Side Control - Options for Comfort Circle Cassette Range

Thermostatic Air-Side (S0 / S1): Plug & Play control that regulates the fan speed (3 speeds) to obtain the desired room temperature. Can be delivered as with a fixed (S0) or an auto-adjustable discharge angle (S1). Modulating air-side (M0/M1): Plug & Play control that regulates both the fan speed and the discharge air temperature, to achieve precisely the desired temperature. Can be delivered with a fixed (M0) or an auto-adjustable discharge angle (M1).

Control Panel - DECO / ModulAir FCU

This plug & play controller regulates the fan speed (3 speeds) to achieve the desired room temperature. The control panel allows the user to select either automatic or manual operation of the DECO or Modulair.

  1. Comfort Circle Cassette Unit 
    • Thermostatic air-side control (S0 / S1)
      • Plug & Play control that regulates the fan speed (3 speeds) to obtain the desired room temperature.
      • Can be delivered as with a fixed (S0) or an auto-adjustable discharge angle (S1)
    • Modulating air-side (M0 / M1)
      • Plug & Play control that regulates both the fan speed and the discharge air temperature, to achieve precisely the desired temperature.
      • Can be delivered with a fixed (M0) or an auto-adjustable discharge angle (M1).
  2. DECO and ModulAir Fan Coil Unit
    • Thermostatic air-side control
      • Regulates the fan speed (3 speeds) 
    • Combined air and water-side controller
      • Regulates both the fan speed and the discharge air temperature to achieve the desired room temperature.
    • Integrated frost protection and air valve control
      • The ventilation units have a controller-integrated frost protection thermostat and air valve control. The frost protection reduces the risk of the coil freezing (preset at 5°C). In the event of a power interruption or failure, the air valve automatically switches to the recirculation mode.
    • CO2 Sensor
      • The ventilation units can be equipped with a sensor to read the CO2 level in the room.
      • The sensor ensures that the CO2 value preset in the control panel is maintained by automatically increasing or reducing the supply of fresh air

NOZ2 Range of Controls

  1. Automatic control with b-touch control panel and CHIPS technology
    • The user-friendly b-touch control panel can be used to switch the unit on and off, adjust the room temperature and change situation specific settings. NOZ2 units feature built-in intelligence, which means they can also function without the b-touch control. When this is the case, the control panel is only required for servicing purposes.
  2. Basic control with b-control (0 - 10V)
    • The b-control is a continuously variable, manual 0 – 10V potentiometer. 
  3. BMS Modbus 
    • The automatically regulated NOZ2 can communicate using the Modbus protocol for remote control with a BMS system. The Modbus and the b-touch can also be used in parallel, allowing local control and remote control to take place at the same time.

B-Touch Control

A single b-touch can be used to control up to 50 x NOZ2 units for space heating or cooling applications. When ventilation is provided, up to 10 units can be controlled by a single b-touch. The b-touch’s built-in USB port allows users to import and export settings, carry out software updates and export unit specific data for performance monitoring.
